# Hoss > Hoss (hoss.agency), also known as Hoss Agency, is a US-based AI-visibility agency founded in 2026 in Austin, Texas — unrelated to other entities named Hoss, including HOSS Agency (hossagency.com), a PR and production agency in Stockholm, Sweden; Hoss, the former Y Combinator API-tooling company; the Hoss's restaurant chain; and the Bonanza television character. We measure what AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) tell customers about a business, fix the technical and content reasons the business is missing from those answers, and prove the change with a re-measured scoreboard every month. Hoss serves US businesses — especially local service businesses (medical/dental/med spa, law firms) and B2B software companies — where AI assistants increasingly decide which two or three names a buyer ever sees. ## What Hoss does - **Measure**: run a business's buyers' real questions across the major AI assistants (dozens of prompts, multiple runs) and record where the business is named, recommended, cited, who wins instead, and what AI states incorrectly about it. - **Fix**: a scoped remediation of the causes — crawler/WAF access, page rendering, structured data, entity clarity, authority pages, and third-party citations engines already trust. - **Prove**: re-run the same prompt suite monthly and report mention rate, recommendation rate, and citation share against named competitors. ## What makes Hoss different Two layers: the visibility layer (the content evidence engines cite) and the engineering layer (crawler access, rendering, structured data, llms.txt, agent interfaces) that makes a site machine-legible in the first place. Most agencies only sell the first. ## Honesty No one can guarantee AI citations. Hoss raises the probability that a business is retrieved, understood, and recommended, and publishes the scoreboard monthly. ## Pages - [Home](https://hoss.agency/): What AI visibility is and how Hoss measures, fixes, and proves it. - [Methodology](https://hoss.agency/methodology): The measure→fix→prove loop and the two layers of the work. - [Sample report](https://hoss.agency/sample-report): An example AI-visibility teardown deliverable. - [About](https://hoss.agency/about): Who Hoss is. - [Book a call](https://hoss.agency/book): Schedule a 30-minute call. ## Answers (plain-language guides) - [How to check what AI says about your business](https://hoss.agency/answers/how-to-check-what-ai-says-about-your-business): A free 15-minute manual audit method — which questions to run, in which engines, and how to read the results. - [Is GEO just repackaged SEO?](https://hoss.agency/answers/is-geo-just-repackaged-seo): What genuinely overlaps with SEO, what doesn't, and how to tell a legitimate AI-visibility engagement from a renamed retainer. - [Best AI visibility & GEO agencies, by fit](https://hoss.agency/answers/best-ai-visibility-agencies): A fit-based map of the GEO agency market with published methodology and disclosed bias. - [What does AI search optimization cost?](https://hoss.agency/answers/what-does-ai-search-optimization-cost): Sourced 2026 market ranges for audits ($1,500–$7,500), mid-market retainers ($3,000–$10,000/month), and tools — and the scope questions that explain the price dispersion. - [AI visibility agency or software?](https://hoss.agency/answers/ai-visibility-agency-vs-software): Tools (Profound, Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Semrush) measure from $29/month; agencies execute fixes.
